In designing a
children’s guide to
making fruit smoothies
and aqua frescas for
Klutz Press, our objec-
tive was to develop a
recipe book to join
their family of playful
activity books for
children. We developed
colorful, almost fanci-
ful, renderings of the
fruit, presented the
recipes in large,
activated type to
energize the process,
and then included
clearly written, step-
by-step directions.
